Details: Celebrate Atlanta's international flavor--and the immigrant roots that
unite virtually all of us--as Atlanta's A-list sous chefs step into the
spotlight at World Food at the Farm at the Glover Family Farm on April
27. The United States is a second home to the participating sous
chefs, who emigrated from all over the world (Nigeria, Argentina,
Israel, Mexico, Korea), as well as some from right here . Their
talents are enjoyed daily at some of the best restaurants in town,
including Woodfire Grill, Restaurant Eugene, Repast, The Hil, Sun in My
Belly, Avalon Catering. As a team, they'll be joining together to
create a dinner, served family style close to the source for most of
the meal's food, the Glover Family Farm.
Event proceeds benefit the Slow Food Atlanta's Terra Madre fund
that helps Georgia's small-scale sustainable farmers and artisinal
producers to travel to Turin, Italy as delegates to the biennial Terra
Madre conclave.
Cost: $45 per person.
Tickets may be purchased by sending a check, made to Slow Food Atlanta, to Judith Winfrey at 631 Robinson Ave., Atlanta, GA 30312 by April 21st.
