A Taste of Southern Food History: In Conversation

On Sunday, October 15, at 4-6pm, Slow Food Atlanta is hosting a special event at Little Tart Bakeshop in Grant Park featuring 2 prominent food historians and authors, David Shields and Diane Flynt. Join us to hear about their books, The Ark of Taste and Wild, Tamed, Lost, Revived, respectively, in a discussion moderated by acclaimed journalist Bill Nigut, currently the host of “Politically Georgia” at the Atlanta-Journal Constitution and formerly of Political Rewind. Guests will also get to try Ark of Taste items in various bites and drinks, including a sweet potato biscuit and an apple turnover from Little Tart and cider from Shacksbury Cider and UrbanTree Cidery. Get your tickets with one or both books—while supplies last!

Proceeds from this event will be used to compensate our generous hosts Little Tart, and any additional funds will go toward Slow Food Atlanta programming, which includes providing small grants to community organizations who uphold good, clean and fair food for all.
