2019 Terra Madre Day Potluck

  • The Deer & The Dove 155 Sycamore Street Decatur, GA, 30030 United States (map)

Join Slow Food Atlanta on Monday, December 9, 2019 for a local Potluck in celebration of the annual Terra Madre Day to promote the diversity of food traditions and our farmers, producers and eaters. Come take an active part in expressing our love for the planet and a desire to defend the future for the next generations. This is also the 30th Anniversary of Slow Food.

Chef Terry and Jenn Koval, owners of The Deer & The Dove are our hosts. Each of us will be bringing a dish to share with all attendees. Beverages will be cash bar. Sign up to attend and select the dish type you will be bringing.

We will be hearing from several of our Atlanta Delegates who attended Terra Madre Salone del Gusto as part of the US Delegation held every other year in Turin, Italy.

So, come spend your Monday evening with Slow Food Atlanta to celebrate good, clean, fair food for all!

If you'd like to volunteer at the event, we need 5 volunteers for set up, labeling food and clean up. Please email us at slowfoodatl@gmail.com

Parking: The Deer and The Dove faces Decatur's downtown Marta station on Church Street. Street Parking is free after 6pm, and there is a for pay parking lot next to Victory, which is just behind The Deer and The Dove on Church St. in Decatur.

And, if you're posting pictures or information about the event on your social media, we respectfully ask you to include the hashtag #terramadre2020 in your posts to help spread the word about Terra Madre.
