Join Slow Food Atlanta at MODA for an evening of learning, tasting, and talking about salt!
On October 21st, 2026 we’ll gather for an exclusive Slow Food Atlanta night at the Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA) to explore one of the most important minerals on Earth and an essential pillar of the food world: salt. First, we’ll enjoy MODA’s latest exhibit, Salt: A Design Story, which explores how a single essential mineral has driven human ingenuity, culture, and design across every era. Then we’ll gather for a workshop with Suzi Sheffield of Atlanta-based seasoning company, Beautiful Briny Sea. Suzi will talk about her founding story then guide us through how to taste salt with intention: noticing texture, mineral character, and flavor. From there, we’ll learn the basics of pairing herbs and spices with salt and build our own custom blend to take home. Seats are limited, so reserve your spot today!
