About Old Fourth Distillery Private TOUR
Join SLOW FOOD ATLANTA at Old Fourth Distillery, and get an in-depth look at how Old Fourth Distillery’s craft spirits are made. Your Ticket to the special Slow Food For Thought tour of Old Fourth Distillery is where you will learn the history, process, and flavors behind Atlanta’s first distillery since 1906.
The Old Fourth Team will walk you through the distillation process on their custom-built Carl Pot Still, followed by a detailed lesson on fermentation, then take a look at their hand bottling process, and finally enjoy a tasting of some of the finest spirits Old Fourth Distillery offers. The tour lasts between 45 and 60 minutes.
Tours end in the tasting room, where you will get to sample their four award-winning spirits or a cocktail.
The Old Fourth Distillery Story: After several years of being invested in the Old Fourth Ward, brothers Craig and Jeffrey Moore decided that their neighborhood was the perfect place to build “Atlanta’s Distillery.”
Technically, they didn’t have much competition, since there hadn’t been a legal distillery in Atlanta since 1906. But, since the Moore brothers launched their first vodka in 2014, Old Fourth Distillery has perfectly embodied its title as our city’s landmark distillery. Not only does Old Fourth Distillery dominate the local market, but Craig and Jeffrey also source their ingredients locally and create each of their products with the devotion to craft that appeals to Atlanta liquor lovers.
