Join us for a Lexicon of Sustainability Docent Training

What is a Docent Training?
At our 214th Pop Up Show of the Lexicon of Sustainability Storytelling Artwork ( www.lexiconofsustainability.com), our trained Docents set up 12 artworks on easels at the entrance to the Freedom Farmers Market, talked to anyone who wanted to talk about Slow Food Atlanta and the artwork, and took the artwork down afterwards.

This training prepares Docents to talk about Slow Food comfortably, to tell people about the Lexicon of Sustainability and to set up and take down the images and easels with ease. These Pop Up Shows have been all over Atlanta...businesses, schools, universities, farmers markets, organization conferences, churches, etc. Over 40,000 people in the Atlanta area have had access to this "event jewelry!" We never could have taught so many people this artist way to learn about the vocabulary of sustainability without our Docents.

Please contact Slow Food Atlanta Board Education Chair Dr. Colleen Morich (Subject: "Docent Training") if you want to join us to prepare for this terrifically important and fun volunteer opportunity on August 27th in Decatur!

It's free, and lunch is provided. Members and non-members are welcome. The maximum number of participants in each training is 12.

To sign up, please email Colleen Morich at cjmorich@gmail.com
