Lexicon of Sustainability
The Lexicon of Sustainability is based on a simple premise: "People can't be expected to live more sustainable lives if they don't even know the most basic terms and principles that define sustainability."
By illuminating the vocabulary of sustainable agriculture, and with it the conversation about America's rapidly evolving food culture, the Lexicon of Sustainability educates, engages and activates people to pay closer attention to how they eat, what they buy, and where their responsibility begins for creating a healthier, safer food system in America.
Slow Food Atlanta’s Lexicon of Sustainability Story Telling Artwork Pop Up Show is available free in the Atlanta area. Each image (size 24”x36”) is framed and has an easel or hanger. Each framed image on an easel takes up a 4’x4’ floor space. All Pop Up Shows include a "Slow Food Atlanta Presents..." poster. A docent may be available to come and introduce the artwork. If you have any questions or want to request a Pop Up Show, please contact Colleen at email@example.com (Subject: Pop Up Show).
See www.lexiconofsustainability.com for more information about the images and their companion resources, including lesson plans and PBS short videos online.
